Graphics memory is shared with system memory. Graphics memory usage can vary from 8 to 64 MB depending on the amount of system memory installed and system load. 16 MB is pre-allocated for graphics use at system boot time. Additional memory is allocated for graphics using Intel's Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) to balance the optimum amount of memory between graphics and other system use. With a 128 MB system, graphics memory usage will be 8 MB to 32 MB depending on system load. With 256 MB or more, graphics memory usage will be 8 MB to 64 MB depending on system load.
